A large number of people from across the country are visiting and exploring the 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela held in Faridabad, Haryana. This year the partner states of the fair are Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. About six hundred participants from about 42 countries including Egypt, Ethiopia, Syria, Afghanistan, Belarus are participating in the fair.
Apart from this, many countries including BIMSTEC countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand are also participating in the fair. The aim of the fair is to promote handicraft products and handloom. Talking to Akashvani News, Staifani, a visitor who came from the USA to explore the Surajkund fair expressed happiness after visiting the fair and appreciated the arrangement of fair and indigenous products.
AIR correspondent reports that the fair is being held till the 23rd of this month. Visitors can buy tickets for the fair from the designated counters organized by Surajkund Mela Authority and Haryana Tourism at the fair site and from Delhi Metro’s app Delhi Sarathi 2.0. Apart from this, tickets can also be purchased from all the stations of Delhi Metro.
