The 349th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is being observed across India and abroad with great devotion.
Devotees are paying their respects to the 9th Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Gurudwara Guru Ka Mahal and Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar and other places and listening to Gurubani. After the culmination of the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, early morning today, Diwans are being set up reciting hymns and poetry in respect of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Community kitchens are set up at many places across Punjab for devotees to partake in ‘Langar’.
A nagar kirtan dedicated to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was taken out from Sri Akal Takhat Sahib to Guru Ji’s birthplace Gurudwara Guru Ka Mahal under the divine presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and ‘Panj Pyaras’, yesterday. A large number of devotees participated in the kirtan.
The Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Giani Raghbir Singh appealed to the congregation and general public to take lessons from the life of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
