Three out of five Asian indices ended in positive territory. Singapore’s Straits Times Index increased nearly half per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.3 per cent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained 0.2.

Meanwhile, Korea’s Kospi fell half a per cent and Japan’s Nikkei was marginally down around 0.1 per cent.

Two out of three major European Indices were trading in negative territory. France’s CAC 40 lost more than half a per cent and Germany’s DAX shed 0.3 per cent while London’s FTSE gained 0.2 per cent, when reports last came in.
