As part of India's G20 presidency, the second G20-Chief Scientific Advisers’ Roundtable meet began in Gandhinagar today. Science advisors, Scientists, researchers from G 20 countries, and invited countries are taking part in the meeting. During the day-long meeting, the delegates will discuss several critical issues pertaining to scientific research and technology development.
Akashvani correspondent report: The meeting began today with the opening remarks by Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood. There will be a total of Four sessions on themes such as ‘Opportunities in One Health, Synergizing Global Efforts to expand the Access to Scholarly Scientific Knowledge’, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility in Science & Technology and Institutional Mechanism for Inclusive Global S&T Policy Dialogue. In the first session, the delegates deliberated on critical issues for the advancement of inclusive Global Science advice today. After the daylong deliberations, Policy communiqué will be presented in the concluding session. On the sidelines of the meeting, three bilateral meetings between India and Saudi Arabia, Australia and UK were held yesterday.
