Over four crore devotees have taken holy dip in Sangam so far on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya in Mahakumbh, Prayagraj today. The rituals are going on smoothly. After the holy dip, devotees perform rituals and offer prayers at the ghats. Lakhs of devotees are still coming to take the holy dip in the Sangam. Mela Administration has urged the devotees to return from the same sector or zone after taking a bath.
The Maha Kumbh Mela, recognized as the world’s largest religious gathering, commenced on 13th January and the first Amrit Snan took place on Makar Sankranti, on 14th January. More than 24 crore devotees have taken the holy dip so far.
Over 50 thousand police personnel, including paramilitary forces, have been deployed to ensure the safety and security. For the first time,e underwater Drones have been deployed to monitor activities beneath the water at Sangam. Uttar Pradesh Police has urged devotees not to fall prey to Rumours.
