The Government today said that it maintains a record of migrant workers who migrate to 18 emigration Check required countries through e-Migrate Portal.  In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Minister of State V.Muraleedharan said that 2458 illegal agents have been listed on the E- Migrate portal till now. He informed that approximately one thousand emigration clearances are processed every day by the 14 Protector of Emigrants offices across the Country. Since its inception in 2015, a total of 40 thousand 3592 Emigrant clearances have been issued through the e-Migrate portal till June this year. The Minister informed that there are around two thousand active Recruitment Agents and around two lakh foreign employers are registered in the portal.
