Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya informed that 24 crore 30 lakh Ayushman cards have been created in the country under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna. In a reply in Lok Sabha, Dr. Mandaviya said that as of July this year, a total of 5 crore 43 lakh hospital admissions have been authorized under the scheme. He said that an amount of 66 thousand 763 crore rupees have been sanctioned for this. The scheme provides health cover of 5 lakh rupees per family for a year with the provision of completely cashless treatment.
