Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal has said that along with the state police, 225 companies of Central Armed Police Forces will also be vigilantly deployed to ensure fair, fear-free and transparent elections. Mr Agarwal is also the chairman of the state committee constituted on the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces during elections.

Giving detailed information regarding security arrangements, the Chief Electoral Officer said that out of the 225 companies, 70 companies have reached the state by August 25. The remaining 155 companies will reach the state by September 24.

He informed that after the elections on October 5, 2024, 30 companies will remain deployed in the state till the counting of votes is completed for the security of EVMs, strong rooms and counting centres.
