In Haryana, 223 candidates are left in the fray for 10 Lok Sabha constituencies after the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers today. In Karnal Vidhansabha constituency nine candidates will contest the by-poll.
In Ambala, Hisar, Faridabad, Sirsa and Rohtak one each, Karnal two and in Kurukshetra, Gurugram and Sonipat three each candidates withdrew their nomination papers whereas in Bhiwani-Mahendergarh no nomination papers were withdrawn.
Now in Ambala Lok Sabha constituency 14, Kurukshetra 31, Sirsa 19, Hisar 28, Karnal 19, Sonipat 22, Rohtak 26, Bhiwani-Mahendergarh 17, Gurugram 23 and in Faridabad Loksabha constituency 24 candidates are left in the fray. Notably, for all the 10 Lok Sabha seats of Haryana, 297 candidates had filed 370 nomination papers. After scrutiny, the nomination papers of the 239 candidates were accepted and today, 16 candidates withdrew their nomination papers.
