In Chhattisgarh, twenty-two Maoists have surrendered today in the Bijapur district. Additional Superintendent of Police of the district Chandrakant Govarna said that a reward of twenty-six lakh rupees was declared on four of these Maoists.

The surrendered Maoists were given an incentive of fifty thousand rupees each. So far this year, about one hundred and eighty Maoists have surrendered in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
