In the Kashmir Valley, two terrorists were neutralised today by a joint team of security forces in an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces in Adigam village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district this morning. According to official sources, a joint team of security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) based on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area. However, as the joint teams approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them, which was retaliated to, triggering an encounter.

Two AK rifles, ammunition, and other warlike stores were recovered from the possession of the terrorists at the encounter site. Meanwhile, in a joint press conference by the Army and J&K Police, officials said that it was a significant win for the security forces and informed the presser that the slain terrorists were involved in the killings of several persons in Kulgam and other districts of the Kashmir Valley.
