In Chhattisgarh, two important MoUs were signed in Raipur today during the visit of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. An agreement was signed between the Government of Chhattisgarh and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) for the development of the dairy sector. Besides, another MoU was signed between Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Cooperative Union Limited and National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL).
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai was also present on this occasion. Addressing the program, Shri Amit Shah said from today, the forest produce of the tribal community, which was earlier sold at throwaway prices, will now be sold at a fair price through certification and better marketing. This will help in empowering the tribal community and increasing their income. Describing the establishment of National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) as a milestone, he said that under this, testing and certification of organic products will be ensured across the country.
He said that this step will prove helpful in taking the state in the direction of development and prosperity.
