In Cricket, chasing the target of 534 runs, hosts Australia were 176 for 6 post lunch against India on the fourth day of the opening test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth. Hosts require 358 more runs to win the match.

The Aussies resumed their second innings at the overnight score of 12 for 3 wickets, with Usman Khawaja on the crease this morning. Yesterday at stumps on Day 3, Indian seamers picked up some early wickets shattering Aussie’s batting lineup.

Skipper Jasprit Bumrah sent Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne back to the pavilion, while Mohammed Siraj dismissed Pat Cummins.

Before that, Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s tons took India to 487 for 6 in the second innings, taking an overall lead of 533 runs. Kohli’s unbeaten 100-run innings and Jaiswal’s brilliant knock of 161 put the visitors in dominating position.
