External Affairs Ministry said the 16 crew members onboard MSC Aries seized by Iran will return to the country after the completion of some contractual obligations. Briefing media on Thursday in Delhi, Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India was granted Consular access to the crew members and their health remains well. He said they are regularly in contact with their families, and are not facing any difficulties on the ship.
Earlier on the 18th of this month, deck cadet Ann Tessa Joseph, who was among the Indian crew members of MSC Aries, had safely returned to India.
