In Chhattisgarh, 14 Maoists have been arrested today by security forces in Bijapur district.

Superintendent of Police Jitendra Yadav said that the joint team of District Reserve Guard-DRG and Police was on a search operation in Mutavendi-Pediya area. During the operation, security personnel arrested fourteen Maoists from the forest along with explosives and propaganda materials. Four tiffin bombs, two cooker bombs, detonators, cardex wire and gelatin sticks have been recovered from the arrested Maoists.
