132 dead due to Floods and Landslides in Nepal; Over 3,600 Rescued Amid Ongoing Army Efforts

Nepal’s Home Ministry has confirmed that 132 people have died due to flood, landslide, inundation, and natural disaster incidents. The Ministry said that so far 68 people have been killed due to disaster incidents in Kathmandu Valley, 45 in Bagmati province, 17 in Koshi province, and two in Madhes province. Similarly, 64 people have gone missing and 61 have sustained injuries due to the disaster-related incidents.

 

Three thousand six hundred and twenty-six (3626) people have been safely rescued throughout the country with the active participation of the security forces. One hundred and ninety-three people have been rescued at various places in Kavrepalanchok by Nepali Army helicopters since this morning. The Nepali Army troops have been mobilised for the last two days in rescue operations.
